Books and DVD films in Other Languages at the Newton Free Library.

The Library has books in 17 foreign languages, both fiction and nonfiction: Bengali, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Marathi, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Yiddish. Look for them at the rear of the second floor (Russian on the third floor).

The Newton Free Library adult foreign language DVD collection includes films in the following 57 world languages: Arabic; Bambara; Bengali; Bosnian; Chinese, Cantonese and Mandarin; Croatian: Czech; Danish; Dutch; Dzongkha; Estonian; Farsi; Finnish; French; Georgian; German; Greek; Gujarati; Hebrew; Hindi; Hungarian; Icelandic: Indonesian; Iranian; Italian; Japanese; Kannada; Korean; Kurdish; Macedonian; Malayam; Mongolian; Norwegian; Persian; Polish; Punjabi; Portuguese; Romanian; Russian; Sanscrit; Serbian; Serbo-Croatian; Sinhalese; Spanish; Swedish; Tamil; Telugu; Thai; Tibetan; Turkish; Urdu; Vietnamese; Vogel; Wolof; Yiddish; and, Zulu.
