Tween/Teen Tails and Tales: Summer 2021

Learn about this year's summer reading and how you can participate!

Tails and Tales: Tween/Teen Summer 2021!

June 8 - August 31, 2021

Click here to register for a Beanstack Summer Reading account. Already Registered? Click here to sign in!

Rising 6th - 12th graders can use our online reading log to keep track of the time spent reading. Remember, all reading counts--read a book, magazine or e-book; listen to an audiobook; read aloud to a sibling; read aloud with your family.

Tweens and teens entering 6th-12th in the 2021-22 school year can win prizes! As long as you are registered on Beanstack, you will be entered in a drawing to win one of two possible prizes each week from 7/4 to 8/14 as long as you also log minutes; write a book review on Beanstack; complete an adventure; or attend a library program (and fill in the relevant adventure). Prizes will include experiences such as a kayak outing and cool stuff to enjoy such as gift certificates to bookstores.

There is so much going on this summer! Check out our events calendar.

Tails and Tales! is sponsored by The Friends of the Newton Free Library, Mass Audubon, and Historic Newton highlighting The Jackson Homestead and Museum., the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
